The Tale of Two Books

Some of my favorite Authors paired up

Jamie Sams & David Carson “Medicine Cards

and

Don Miguel Ruiz “The Four Agreements

This morning 27 Dec, 2016 an idea occurred to me of what  insights may reveal themselves if I combined The Four Agreements” and the animal “Medicine Cards.  So I asked the cards, and below is how they aligned with each other.

The  Four Agreements are as follows:  1. Impeccability, 2. Don’t take anything personally 3. Don’t make assumptions 4. Always do you best

I randomly selected four “Medicine Cards“, the first card corresponding with the “First Agreement”, Impeccability, the second draw corresponding with “Don’t take anything personally” and so forth.  I decided to do a four directions spread meaning each card represents one of the four directions, east, south, west and north.  I love playing with cards, no matter what kind of cards they are because they always fascinate me.

My first draw was Jaguar representing the East and the First Agreement being “Impeccability.” You’ll notice how the two matched up perfectly.  Both referring to impeccability.

“Sacred Jaguar teach me…

To wear my power lightly,

To walk with impeccability,

To approach life with compassion,

And to live up to the integrity of my potential.”

Jaguar’s Self-empowerment is created and experienced as a result of your impeccable words put into action.  However, if Jaguar is feeling like things are going sour, avoid interruptions that are foolishness. It could also mean that you are out of balance and your shadow may be creating some mental presuppositions and expectations about others or events that aren’t to your liking.   Feelings could include high risk behavior, confusion, paranoia, nervousness, afraid of being alone.  We are once again reminded to search out and embrace a quiet safe place.  You are never alone!

Second Agreement Don’t take anything personally”, “Turkey“ turned up in the South and has this to say,

“Ho, Brother Turkey!

So freely you give,

Of everything that you are,

So others may truly live.”

Turkey say’s you’re playing in the realm of the saints and mystics.  Many virtues, great and small are experienced in the South.  The Time is Now for the realization that all life is sacred.  Great Spirit is always within all people.  In our past day life, we may have been taught to be selfish with ourselves and our feelings.  In this now moment you’re the present changed.  And with the next breath, giving-it-all-away.  To give, one is to be receptive.  Congratulations is in order as you may just have won the lottery so long as you’re not trying to figure it out.  Accept with gifts of gratitude.

Third Agreement tells us from the West, “Don’t make assumptions”.   “Black Panther” is “Embracing The unknown”, leaps through the darkness, peers into your heart and whispers…

“Oh Midnight Jaguar… Wash me with your courage.

And steel me with your grace,

So I may know the value of the void of time and space.

Teach me all your lessons,

How to face the dark unknown.

Then let me gravely leap into the shadows all alone.”

Black Panther is of the Caddo Tribe.  It is called upon when exploring our shadow side of being.  To look beyond the fears of the mind to where truths are revealed.  Feel the warm moist breath on the dark night of your soul’s neck when Black Panther comes staking your dreams.  Do not be afraid, for she comes to protect your hidden black (blind) spots.

The Fourth Agreement say’s to “Always do your best” and so the “Jaguar” once again makes its appearance as the final card in the North.  We are reminded that “Darkness is the place for seeking and finding answers, for accepting healings, and for accessing the hidden light of truth.  Panther teaches us through our dreams to delve into the places within ourselves that need healing.  She shows us how to track the unfamiliar territory found on the journey of self-discovery and to fearlessly face the unknown.

What every is currently happening in your dream, remember, G.A.S. is just a thought away.
